Shop My Living and Dining Room

We've only lived in this house for a little over 2 months, but there's quite a few items from our last house that made the cut for designing this house.

We've used these cordless bamboo blinds in our last house too, and they're great. They're priced so reasonably, look pretty, are easy to install, and they're cordless - so no worries about pets or kids. I've paired them with the IKEA Ritva curtains in this house, hanging them with drapery hooks and pins.

You'll also see this Greek Key pillow cover in this room from time to time. While it's usually meant for my son's room, it makes its way down here quite a bit, but I don't mind.

In the dining room, I currently have the indoor/outdoor rug that's so pretty in real life. It may make a move out to the deck this spring, or I may just buy another one. I love how easy it is to clean.

If you're new here, scroll through to find my lamp project. I've used them on two lamps in this room and also a planter that holds my fiddle leaf fig. They're a great way to spice up a boring lamp or planter.

And then we have the lighting - the jewelry of these rooms. I love our cage chandelier by Jonathan Y. It's large and in charge and really makes a statement while still keeping an open and airy feeling in the room. I paired it with this gold sconce - and used the puck light trick! - that balances out a more traditional style for the room.
