We gave our den a little makeover today! This was this room last year when we bought the house.

This room used to have a door to the kitchen. To make the kitchen layout work better for us, we had the door closed off. From the den’s side, it makes the den a lot more cozy. The next buyer could also use this as a fourth bedroom if they’d like, since now it has a door and a inside.

What I really liked about this project is that it created another place for art. HA. My cup runneth over with great art to hang. Urban Garden Prints sent me their Dancing Heron Prints in blue. They’re such a relaxing yet bold print. My kids also love to see blue herons on the water here, so it was a nice nod to Norfolk.

In my dining room, I used these same poster frames for my Chinoiserie panels. Frames this size can get quite pricey, and I’ve been impressed with these poster frames, so I decided to use them again in white.

I thought this was the perfect place to also use some sconces. I bought these long-arm sconces for the kitchen, and while I still haven’t ruled out using them there, they looked too good not to use over these prints.

I’m going to use puck lights inside of them, so there’s no need to hardwire, but they actually are plug in sconces, too. We just don’t have an outlet on this new wall.

I also decided to move my faux grasscloth table into here. Even after a year, my table is still looking just as good! Here is the table and the faux grasscloth wallpaper that I used to cover it.
